The Philco model 610 series is a 5-tube 3-band radio. There are four distinct models with different cabinet styles over the 1930’s. Model 610T (1936 was the first in the series) table radio with a round left side, with a speaker opening that combines a round lower half with several horizontal bars in the upper half, somewhat resembling a small Greek 'sigma.'
The set has been electronically restored and picks up many stations across the dial. The radio has a complete recap electronic restoration - all the electrolytic capacitors were replaced with new production parts. All the paper foil capacitors were replaced as well. The radio has very nice reception with no hum. Station after station can be listened to on AM. The set produces excellent volume and good sound from the front mounted speaker. A new power cord was installed for safety. The radio has the original Philco knobs. The walnut veneered cabinet is beautifully restored. Wood repairs were made. The grille cloth is a reproduction of the original pattern. Every detail was reproduced to keep the original look.
