Zenith 9S367 Tube Radio 1939 SOLD!!!

$1,500.00

This is a 1939 Zenith 9 tube model 9S367, one of Zenith’s most famous and collectible years. It is sporting the fabulous “Robot Shutter Dial” and green tuning eye. This is a popular model for 1939.  The large black dial is in perfect condition. The cabinets’ book matched walnut veneer is in near perfect beautiful restored condition. The cabinets’ book matched walnut veneer is beautifully restored with a flawless lacquer finish and toned lacquer color trim. The Superheterodyne chassis is a performer and plays full dial scale, loud and clear. The radio has had a complete recap electronic restoration - all the electrolytic caps were replaced with new production parts. All the paper foil capacitors were replaced as well. The dial belt is new for smooth tuning. The chassis is clean and rust fee. The speaker is in excellent condition with no tears in the paper. The radio has very nice reception with no hum. A brand new NOS green eye tube was installed to dress up its playing appearance. An outside antenna is necessary on old tube radios or a long wire. But it also plays perfectly on the short lead wire I installed on the inside of the cabinet. A new power cord was installed for safety.
